AI Event

AI event notification page is used to configure different event notifications, messages, and recipients. The notification is triggered by the AI event based on different conditions, then send to the recipients' email or mobile app.

  • NOTIFICATION NAME: The name of the notification.
  • FUNCTION TYPE: The type of AI event that triggers the notification.
  • DEVICE COUNT: Total device / node that included in this notification.
  • RECIPIENT COUNT: Total recipient user / group that included in this notification.
  • ACTIVATION STATUS: Enable or disable on this notification.
  • INFO: Configure this notification setting. Notification admin and company's top level admin can see all notification rules in the company. Each user, including the admins, can only see and edit self-created rules.

Add new notification

Provide the name of the notification, then please use the icon to modify the notification content.

AI event selection:

User can select different type of AI event to trigger the functions. The configuration menu is different from AI events and user can select the appropriate features based on different use scenarios.

Motion AI:

Motion detected: notification send when a motion is detected.

Motion detected X times in Y minutes: X is the value of the number detected. Y is the value of time duration in minutes.  This means when number of motion detected exceeds X times in Y minutes, notification will be triggered.

Includes snapshot in App notification: In the mobile App notification, include the snapshot image within the notification message.

Message: Enter the message body here with the variable which can be defined with as %variable%.

%camera%: name of camera detects the movement

Face detect AI:

Face detected: notification send when a face is detected.

Face detected X times in Y minutes: X is the value of the number detected. Y is the value of time duration in minutes.  This means when number of face detected exceeds X times in Y minutes, notification will be triggered.

Includes snapshot in App notification: In the mobile App notification, include the snapshot image within the notification message.

Message: Enter the message body here with the variable which can be defined with as %variable%.

Face search AI:

Face search matched: notification send when a face detected and matches face search user data.

Face AI user: Select the user and group that matches face search function.

Includes snapshot in App notification: In the mobile App notification, include the snapshot image within the notification message.

Message: Enter the message body here with the variable which can be defined with as %variable%.

%user%: name of the user matched

%group: name of the group user is in

%camera%: name of camera matches the face

Temperature AI:

Temperature measured in the range: notification send when a temperature is detected within the specified range.

Face search: notification send when face search has result.

Includes snapshot in App notification: In the mobile App notification, include the snapshot image within the notification message.

Message: Enter the message body here with the variable which can be defined with as %variable%.

%user%: name of the user matched

%group: name of the group user is in

%camera%: name of camera matches the face

%temp%: the temperature value measured; this does not include the unit.

Note: commit changes. After change the information, please be sure use the icon on the upper right before moving on to another configuration.

Node and device selection:

User can select multiple nodes and devices which can trigger the notification.

Action group selection:

Action group allows you to choose which IoT Action Groups to activate.
For detailed configuration and setup, please refer to the IoT Action Groups section.

Recipient selection:

User can select multiple recipients of this notification.  The recipient types can be internal user's email, external email recipients, and mobile App recipients. Only notification admin and top-level company admin can select other users and external recipients.



Notification time range selection:

User can set multiple time ranges allowed to send this notification.  When no time range set means notification will be sent with no restrictions.



  • TIME RANGE: Select the time that allows the event trigger to send notification. This notification is active all day if the start time is the same as the end time.
  • SUPPRESSING TIME: System will send the first event notification, then silent for X min of suppressing time; then at the end of the X min, system will send the total event count. User can use this feature to limit the system, so it does not spam the recipients. The default is 10 minutes.

Edit the notification

Use the icon on the upper right to perform the following functions. Only user can edit their own rules.

  • Change the notification name: Notification admin, company top-level admin and user can change their own rules' name.
  • Enable / Disable the notification: Notification admin, company top-level admin and user can enable/disable their own rules.
  • Delete notification: Notification admin, company top-level admin and user can delete their own rules.
